Job summary

A leading FTSE 250 organisation seeks an experienced Interim Head of IT Architecture and Projects. This role, based in London on a hybrid basis, involves driving a major IT transformation program. Key responsibilities include defining the target-state architecture, establishing governance models, and aligning IT strategies to business goals. The successful candidate will have a proven background in enterprise architecture and project governance, ready to engage with Board-level stakeholders. The engagement offers a daily rate of £800 - £1000 for an initial six-month term starting January 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong track record of leading enterprise architecture and IT delivery transformations.
• Experience working at executive and Board level in complex, federated organizations.
• Ability to define clear, implementable target states and investment proposals.

Responsibilities

• Establish a coherent view of the current IT landscape.
• Define the target-state architecture and transition states.
• Design a federated architecture governance model.
• Define the IT demand management and project governance framework.
• Establish a unified IT strategy and investment process.
• Produce the Architecture & Projects elements of the IT transformation roadmap.
