Contract: Interim / Fixed-term

Duration: 5 January 2026 - End of February 2026

Pay: Competitive day rate (DOE)

About the Role

Local Education is supporting a Further Education provider in the recruitment of an Interim Director of Quality to cover a short-term leadership requirement from January to February 2026.

This is a senior interim role focused on quality, teaching and learning, and would suit an experienced FE leader with a strong understanding of quality frameworks, inspection readiness and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across quality, teaching and learning
• Support curriculum leaders and teaching staff to maintain and improve standards
• Monitor performance data and quality assurance processesPrepare and support the organisation in relation to inspection expectations
• Act as a senior professional lead during the interim period

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven senior leadership experience within Further Education
• Strong background in quality assurance, teaching and learning
