A local government authority in Reigate is seeking to build a talent pool of fully competent Crew Commanders for future opportunities within the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. Candidates must reside within a short distance from Surrey and be qualified drivers of fire appliances or willing to develop. Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is building a talent pool of Crew Commanders for future inter-service opportunities. This is therefore an invitation to apply to join a talent pool of potential candidates for upcoming roles.
We are seekingfully competent Crew Commanders who reside within a 10-minute drive of the Surrey border. You must be a qualified driver of a fire appliance or willing to undertake development to become one.

Salary and Benefits Salaries are aligned with NJC Pay Scales and include a Surrey Allowance.
Training Successful candidates from the talent pool may be invited to attend a five-week course at our Wray Park Training Centre in Reigate. The course may be extended to meet service needs.

Recruitment Process
Appointments are subject to competency confirmation through a Training Needs Analysis (TNA), medical examination, fitness assessment, and Enhanced DBS check.
