Build the Future with the UK's Largest Infrastructure Project

Rullion is proud to be supporting this landmark programme in the appointment of an Integration Engineer to join the Delivery Integration Team, a critical function ensuring construction activities are planned, coordinated, and delivered safely and efficiently. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of one of Europe's most complex engineering projects, coordinating engineering, construction, logistics and commissioning activities across a highly regulated environment.

The Role

As an Integration Engineer, you will support the Area Integration Senior Engineer to ensure that construction activities planned 16 weeks ahead of execution are credible, achievable, and fully resourced. You'll play a key role in developing and validating construction sequences — from manufacturing completion through erection and commissioning — ensuring interfaces between systems, disciplines and contractors are fully understood and managed. This role is particularly well suited to engineers with a mechanical or chemical background, especially those experienced in pipework, rotating equipment, or process systems, and individuals comfortable operating in structured, high‑accountability environments.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Review and develop construction sequences to ensure safe, logical and deliverable execution.
  • Interrogate construction schedules (P6) to identify sequencing risks, constraints and interface clashes.
  • Assess availability of labour, materials, equipment and logistics to confirm readiness for work.
  • Support resolution of programme "hotspots" and emerging issues to protect key milestones.
  • Provide oversight of Delivery Work Packs (DWPs) and Interface Data Sheets (IDS).
  • Work closely with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Construction, Logistics and Commissioning teams.
  • Support transverse issues across multiple buildings, systems and work areas.
  • Use 3D / 4D tools (Navisworks, Synchro) to visualise construction sequencing and interfaces.
  • Ensure all activities comply with site safety standards,‑saving rules and quality expectations.
  • Capture lessons learned and promote "Right First Time" delivery.
What You'll Bring to the Project

You will be a confident, methodical engineer who understands how complex engineering projects are delivered in the real world - not just on paper.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience supporting delivery of complex engineering or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of EPC project environments, ideally within nuclear, energy, power generation, chemical or petrochemical sectors.
  • Experience working with Primavera P6, 3D models (Navisworks) and advanced Excel.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify risks and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desirable
  • Background in pipework systems, rotating equipment or process plant.
  • Experience in a highly regulated or high‑security environment.
  • Construction health & safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Nuclear project experience.
  • Working knowledge of French.
  • Clear and concise communicator, able to influence and build consensus.
