In-house Global Mobility Consultant - Japanese Speaking

Job Type: Permanent

Location: London, UK

Reporting to the Global Mobility Manager, this leading organization is actively seeking a Japanese speaking Global Mobility Consultant to manage the end-to-end assignment process for their internal expatriates.

The Role
  • Manage vendors to ensure all assignments run smoothly.
  • Support international assignments ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Ensure tax and immigration processes are compliant with local regulations.
  • Make recommendations to develop Global Mobility policy and process.
  • Guide and support local HR teams to ensure consistent management of all assignees.
  • Work directly with vendors to manage assignees' payroll.
  • Manage outsourcing of modified payroll for Japanese assignees.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers to manage immigration processes.
  • Develop and maintain balance sheets, provide housing data, and initial assignment letters.
  • Update and maintain assignment tracker.
  • Manage international medical insurance memberships for assignees and their families, including tracking payments and recharges.
  • Contribute to mobility projects such as policy reviews and maintaining checklists and immigration information.
The Person
  • Business level English & Japanese (spoken and written).
  • Experience in international mobility within multinational or consulting firms dealing with senior stakeholders.
  • Management of external vendors including tax and relocation services.
  • Experience dealing directly with expatriates at all levels.
  • Knowledge of immigration law and visa processes.
  • Knowledge of expatriate payroll principles and management.
  • Qualifications in reward and/or international mobility preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and process improvement skills.
  • Interest and aptitude in HRIS applications.
