Infrastructure Support Engineer (Previous Relevant Experience is Required), Chester

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and drive common solutions, working with technical experts committed to impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team managing complex, critical infrastructure to ensure connectivity and protection 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician provides administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution aligns with procedures and contractual KPIs. This role involves working on a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

What you’ll do:

• Handle incoming phone calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
• Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
• Action Service Requests.
• Allocate/despatch tickets to support and engineering teams, and other providers.
• Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
• Organise traffic management, coordinating with providers, control teams, and field resources.
• Update customers on network incidents.
• Coordinate with utility companies regarding power issues affecting the network.

Who you are:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:

• Experience with 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
• Good communication skills and ability to liaise across all levels of seniority.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
