Job summary

A Lloyds Market Insurance business is seeking an Infrastructure Lead to drive strategy around Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Disaster Recovery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in O365 and a background in Desktop/1st line Support, along with proven vendor management capabilities. This role requires being hands-on while also leading strategy and engaging with the executive committee. The position mandates being on-site in London three days a week.

  • Experience from a Desktop/1st line Support role advancing to leadership.
  • Deep expertise in O365 and experience in managing Infrastructure MSPs.

Infrastructure Lead - O365, Azure, Cybersecurity, Networking, Desktop Support, Vendor Management, Infrastructure Transformation

A Senior Infrastructure professional with experience and knowledge across the entire infra field (Cloud, Networking, Security, Desktop etc.) is sought after by a Lloyds Market Insurance business. Your role will be to lead on infrastructure strategy for Cloud, Disaster Recovery, Cybersecurity, whilst also still contributing from a hands‑on perspective. You will regularly engage with the board/exec committee, providing updates on strategy and initiatives, performance and risk, ensuring clear plans are in place as the business continues to scale via organic growth. This position would suit someone from a Desktop/1st line Support background who has progressed through Server Admin and Engineering into a leadership role (or looking to step up). You will also require deep expertise in O365.

Additional Skills
  • Vendor management capabilities: handling relationships with Infrastructure MSPs
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity and the ability to implement best practices within O365 and Azure
  • Appreciation of networking, firewalls and switches
  • Experience delivering infrastructure transformation projects at scale within a highly regulated industry
