Overview

Stantec’s rapidly growing Water sector business in the UK & Ireland (UK&I) is seeking an Information Management Lead. This pivotal, client‑facing role will set the standard for data and information systems across our major projects and consultancy portfolio. The role can be based out of any of our UK offices and will oversee the development, implementation, and management of information systems across Stantec’s Water UK&I operations. It is integral to ensuring the efficient handling of data and information throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning to construction and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Your focus will be on optimising information workflows and supporting critical decision‑making for our clients. This includes Strategic Client Engagement, engaging directly with clients to identify opportunities to improve their data, systems and processes, and Best Practice Implementation, working with internal technical teams to implement cutting‑edge approaches that meet client requirements for effective information management. You will oversee Workflow Streamlining, ensuring the high‑quality acquisition, analysis and integration of information using effective workflows, and Multidisciplinary Collaboration, working closely with various Stantec capabilities—planning, environmental reviews, design, construction delivery and asset management—to deliver integrated solutions. You will be the key figure ensuring Stantec provides the best guidance and resources to address the growing challenge of information management in the infrastructure sector.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Information Manager in a client‑facing capacity, ideally within the Water, Energy or wider Infrastructure sectors.
  • Standards Knowledge: Firm understanding of ISO 19650 requirements and their practical application within capital delivery environments.
  • Technical Grasp: Strong knowledge of connected data environments, including Model‑driven delivery (BIM), geospatial data, data analytics, and secured information environments (incorporating cybersecurity, information security and use in critical national infrastructure).
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to set out how different areas of the business can successfully implement enhanced data and information management practices across varied project contexts.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfort and expertise in collaborating, engaging with and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including highly technical experts.
