Overview

Would you like to join our friendly midwifery team in East London? An exciting opportunity has arisen to extend your IT skills within a Midwifery setting. We are looking to recruit an informatics specialist midwife to lead on informatics within the maternity department at Whipps Cross Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and lead on the digital strategy for Maternity at Whipps Cross and support the wider Barts Health Informatics strategy across sites with counterparts.
• Provide information technology support regarding clinical documentation; knowledge of Cerner Millennium (CRS) for recording clinical records is essential.
• Ensure the accuracy of data within the service and provide reports as required.
• Support new IT developments and participate in implementing new informatics systems.
• Work with the senior management team and counterparts across the 3 maternity units and the wider informatics team.
• Coordinate and provide IT support and training within the Maternity Team.
• Ensure staff inputting of correct information electronically and prepare the maternity dashboard.
• Produce monthly key performance indicator reports for dissemination, discussion and data quality assurance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Enthusiastic and IT competent midwife.
• Knowledge of computer-based clinical documentation; experience with Cerner Millennium (CRS) is essential.
• Ability to ensure data accuracy and generate reports; experience with dashboards and KPI reporting is desirable.
