A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager for a six-month industrial refurbishment project in Haverhill. The candidate will manage daily operations, supervise subcontractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. A strong background in groundworks, steel frame construction, and cladding systems is essential, alongside relevant certifications such as SMSTS and First Aid. This contract role offers a competitive day rate starting in January 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks and steel frame building methods.
• Experience working with cladding systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations from groundwork phase through to steel frame build.
• Supervise subcontractors and trades to ensure high standards of work.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and QS teams to achieve project targets.
• Oversee and enforce all Health & Safety requirements on site.
• Plan and coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries.
• Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and complete risk assessments.
• Monitor programme progress and report regularly on site performance.
