We have an opportunity for an Indirect Buyer to join the Team at our Silverstone facility. In this role you will be responsible for purchasing non-car related goods (indirect) and services for various stakeholders across the company. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team.   • End to end purchase of indirect good and services and pro-active communication with all relevant stakeholders to achieve the most effective procurement
  • Prepare commercial specifications for proposal requests and arrange and facilitate meetings between stakeholders and suppliers when required
  • Request quotations and negotiate optimum value with suppliers and review proposals and provide summary documentation to stakeholders
  • Award orders with agreement from the relative stakeholders and manage all documentation for purchases including the raising of POs
  • To report any delivery exceptions to stake holders in a timely manner to manage expectations and liaise between suppliers and stakeholders to resolve any supply issues
  • Assist with invoice discrepancies when required and ensure compliance with purchasing and finance policies and develop a thorough working knowledge of the company’s ERP system and contribute to its ongoing development

What do you need to bring to the team?

  • Must have CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
  • Extensive experience of procurement in a fast-paced industry
  • Proven strong negotiation skills and previous ERP experience
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and suppliers and clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email
  • Previous experience of MS applications including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to work within a team in a high pressure rapidly changing environment and positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
