Job summary

A leading educational organization is seeking an Independent End-Point Assessor for Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (Level 4) to ensure assessments meet national standards. Ideal candidates should have a level 4 qualification in the relevant sector, extensive experience in competence-based interviewing, and strong interpersonal skills. This position involves conducting assessments, maintaining quality standards, and reporting on the outcomes while working alongside other professionals. Qualifications

  • Occupationally competent in the children, young people, and family sector.
  • At least 2 years of experience in competence-based interviewing.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Willing to travel for assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-point assessments in line with apprenticeship standards.
  • Maintain service-level agreements for EPA planning.
  • Report risks and issues encountered during assessments.
  • Support Pearson with appeals from apprentices regarding assessment decisions.

Skills

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to respond to individual needs
In-depth knowledge of apprenticeship standards
Ability to assess and report risks

Education

Qualified to at least level 4 in children, young people and families
Qualified in assessment practice (e.g., D33, A1, or TAQA)
