IN STORE VISUAL MERCHANDISER

The Role
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of in-store visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines and commercial priorities.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Manager and Supply Chain teams to ensure correct product flow, availability, and floor placement.
  • Implement floor moves, layouts, and product launches on time, following direction and visual plans.
  • Analyse basic sales data and customer feedback to understand what is trading well and support merchandising decisions.
  • Maximise sales and customer engagement through effective product presentation and replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate layouts, ensuring stock levels, sizing, and product density are appropriate for trading needs.
  • Monitor stock movement on the shop floor and support markdowns, promotions, and price changes.
  • Produce and contribute to weekly trade and visual updates for the wider store team.
Teamwork & Development
  • Work collaboratively with the salesfloor team to maintain strong visual standards across the store.
  • Support the delivery of visual training guides and assist with coaching colleagues during launches and floor changes.
  • Actively seek feedback to develop visual skills and commercial awareness.
  • Build positive working relationships across the store, contributing to a respectful and inclusive team environment.
Performance & Ways of Working
  • Take ownership of daily visual standards, ensuring the shop floor is customer‑ready at all times.
  • Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Remain flexible and positive when priorities change, supporting new initiatives and ways of working.
  • Demonstrate accountability for personal performance and contribute ideas to improve visual execution and results.
The Person
  • Previous experience in a Visual Merchandising, Retail Styling, or Shop Floor Merchandising role within a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing visual standards, floor moves, and product launches in line with brand guidelines.
  • Basic commercial awareness, with experience using sales information or feedback to support visual and merchandising decisions.
  • Experience working with stock on the shop floor, including replenishment, sizing, density, and supporting markdowns or promotions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with store teams, including supporting colleagues during visual changes and busy trading periods.
  • Confidence in managing daily visual standards and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Experience adapting to changing priorities and working effectively under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to learning, with willingness to seek feedback and develop visual merchandising skills further.
