Job description
In-House Construction Counsel | 3+ PQE | West Yorkshire | Multiple Opportunities | Bens inc Car + Bonus | Hybrid Working |

Sacco Mann is currently working with a couple of organisations who are seeking to recruit construction solicitors to assist with the efficiency, accountability and profitability for their respective groups. These are new roles and offer varied caseloads, away from traditional construction law fee earning responsibilities, reporting into the business.

The ideal candidates are likely to be UK qualified solicitors who have at least 3 years PQE gained from a reputable firm or organisation in the construction, infrastructure or projects sector. Commerciality and highly tuned communication skills are absolutely essential, as is a demonstrable understanding of the principles of working In-house.

You’ll provide sound and timely legal and commercial advice to mitigate commercial and contractual risks on the company’s portfolio, as well as reviewing, reporting on, negotiating and finalising a wide range of contractual documentation including (but not limited to) consultancy appointments and sub-consultancy agreements, collateral warranties, novation agreements, letters of intent.

These are very much advisory role, working with key stakeholders in the business to ensuring that the company’s governance policies are adhered to in contract negotiations and assisting to make a case for any deviations to the governance policies where necessary.

The roles are based in West Yorkshire, but offer hybrid working and can be worked on a part time/reduced hours basis. A range of benefits and competitive salaries are available, commensurate with suitable experience, but both potentially offer upward trajectory and career progression.
