Job summary

A local support service in Crawley is seeking a Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant to aid a gentleman in achieving independent living. The role involves various personal care tasks, including hoisting, toileting, and meal assistance, throughout the day. Ideal candidates are respectful, reliable, and have experience with health conditions such as head injuries and diabetes. The pay starts at £14.00 per hour, rising to £15.00 after a six-month probation period.

Qualifications

• Experience of caring for individuals with head injuries and other health issues.
• Good communication skills, particularly with blind and/or deaf awareness.
• Desirable to have qualifications in a care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide morning personal care and hoisting as required.
• Assist with toileting and meal preparation throughout the day.
• Support the employer's medical team when hospitalised.
