Scottish Power Energy Networks are looking for an Implementation Lead to join their team based at HQ in Glasgow, on an initial 12-month contract.

Duration: 12-month initial contract

Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available

What you’ll be doing:
  • Development of critical process and system projects, linked to key RIIO ED1 & ED2 output drivers and efficiencies
  • Management and delivery of critical process and IT projects, to agreed quality and project timescales, demonstrating business value in solutions deployed
  • Planning and managing the interdependencies between workstreams and other Transformation projects
  • Assist budget forecast, tracking and managing delivery of agreed financial investment
  • Managing the project risks, including the development of contingency plans
  • Ensuring that contracted project deliverables are tracked against requirements / roadmap delivery, from contract placement through to final delivery by suppliers
  • Delivering the Change Management strategy and plan, ensuring an effective transition to BAU and that impacted people are communicated and trained appropriately
  • Ensuring appropriate measures are developed and implemented to validate delivery of expected benefits, improvements and that the solution is adopted and embedded effectively
  • Management of day to day project resources to help deliver the projects in line with agreed scope and timelines.
  • Line management responsibilities of up to 2 Analysts or Admin roles if and where appropriate. These could vary within and across Value Streams at differing times depending on the key deliverables.
What You’ll Bring:

We are looking for a proactive and motivated professional with previous experience of project management delivering complex projects to time and budget, delivering successful outcomes and the necessary changes to business processes for implementation.

The successful candidate should have the ability to translate data via algorithms into management information and output measures, be able to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges and translating business requirements into working visual solutions

Skills and Requirements:
  • Experience of delivering Agile based projects in both an Agile and Waterfall context ensuring integration of Agile delivery methods with more traditional models where appropriate
  • PRINCE2, APM or equivalent qualifications desirable
  • Understanding of change management principles and has experience in delivering change effectively into and organisation (PROSCI ADKAR knowledge is desirable)
  • Ability to build relationships, fostering trust and collaboration across boundaries at all levels with external and internal stakeholders
  • A good knowledge of standard IT applications, for example web mapping, analytical programming and data layers is required
  • Good awareness and understanding of data protection and cyber considerations
  • Ability to balance technical / IT skills with core operational customer needs to deliver a good quality solution on time that meets all stakeholder needs
