Job summary

Serco is seeking a Specialist Progression Coach to join the Confident Futures team on a 15-month fixed-term contract. The role is field-based with hybrid working across Aberystwyth and surrounding towns, offering a salary of £31,000 to £32,000 plus benefits.

You will support unemployed individuals with long-term health conditions, disabilities, or mental health challenges to overcome barriers to employment through person-centred coaching, action planning, and targeted job-search support.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Ability to build trust quickly and develop effective relationships with participants and partners.
• Strong communication skills and genuine passion for helping people grow into sustainable employment.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
• Driver with Full UK licence and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants with tailored coaching throughout their employment journey.
• Conduct holistic needs assessments and develop personalised action plans.
• Identify barriers to employment and connect participants with health, wellbeing, training and local support services.
• Deliver one-to-one employability coaching including CV support, job searching, interview prep, and confidence-building.
• Build relationships with local employers to identify inclusive opportunities and support participants into roles.
• Promote health and wellbeing outcomes while delivering services to contract requirements.
