The Capabilities Aerodynamics Computations team in Filton offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of flight physics. As a CFD Engineer/Developer, you will support the delivery of world‑class computational simulation services, focusing on multi‑phase flows, convective heat transfer, and icing. Your work directly the design and safety of future.>

  • Develop, industrialise, validate nextgeneration multi‑physics and icing tools.ate with shape designers, data modelers,‑icing system engineers, aero‑thermal analysts, multidisciplinary teams, and certification processes.
  • Engage with the Airbus Flight Physics Capabilities community, Airbus Helicopters, Defence Space, and key partners such as DLR, ONERA, UK universities, Safran Group, and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • y of modern scientific programming scripting languages, specifically Pythonn
  • PhD or Engineering in Fluid Dynamics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science, with significant industrial experience and a profound understanding of icing modelling aero‑thermal physics.
  • Expertise‑art CFD methods, including fluid dynamics, convective heat, multi‑phase flows, particle impact, and boundary‑layer physics with focus on rough and transition.
  • Knowledge of atmospheric meteorology and certification processes is valuable.
