Job summary

A leading IAM solutions provider in the UK seeks a Senior Engineer or Senior Consultant to implement and support Ping Identity solutions. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with technologies like PingAM and PingDS, and is skilled in industry protocols such as OpenID Connect and OAuth2. This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative culture focused on delivering exceptional digital experiences to clients. Mentoring junior staff and knowledge of DevOps practices would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience implementing and supporting Ping Identity solutions.
• Experience with industry protocols such as OpenID Connect, OAuth2, SAML, and SCIM.
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and provide on-call support during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure solutions and deploy the Ping Identity platform into cloud environments.
• Utilize DevOps methodologies for deploying and operating the Ping platform.
• Validate solution changes against best practices and organizational policies.

Role Summary

A Senior Engineer or Senior Consultant with a minimum of 3 years hands‑of experience implementing and supporting Ping Identity (heritage ForgeRock) solutions. Each engineer has extensive experience in one of more of :

• PingAM (Formally ForgeRock Access Manager)
• PingGateway (formally ForgeRock Identity Gateway)
• PingDS (formally ForgeRock Directory Services)
• PingIDM (formally ForgeRock Identity Management)

Key Competencies

• Industry protocols such as OpenID Connect, OAuth2, SAML and SCIM.
• JavaScript
• Developing secure solutions
• Deploying and operating the Ping platform utilising DevOps methodologies.
• Deploying the Ping Identity platform into cloud platforms.
• Validating planned to solution changes ensuring alignment with best practices, security, target state and organisational policies.
• Mentoring junior colleagues building and implementing changes to the platform ensuring changes are secure and supportable.
• Providing an escalation point to junior colleagues during incidents though on‑call rota

Evidence

• Certifications in the ForgeRock products, and other IAM technologies
• Knowledgeable about wider cyber security issues
• Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networking, servers, storage and virtualisation
• Broad knowledge including Restful APIs, directory services, LDAP
• Evidence of experience with IAM, IGA and PAM solutions
• Evidence of working in an agile / DevOps / continuous improvement methodology
• Evidence of working on complex engagements and giving a clear account of the issues faced, and how they worked individually and as part of a team on resolutions
• Communication skills and the ability to differentiate to stakeholders both technical and non‑technical
