About the Role

As the I&T Programme Manager you will lead the integration of DS Smiths EMEA I&T with International Paper. This programme spans a c.$50bn investment and is critical to ensuring seamless operations across regions.

The Programme Manager will oversee four strategic workstreams:

  • I&T Organisational Optimisation – Aligning teams, structures and operating models.
  • I&T SOX Controls Deployment – Implementing compliance frameworks to meet Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
  • I&T Enabled Site Footprint Rationalisation (80/20) – Driving consolidation and efficiency through the strategic consolidation of sites and assets.
  • I&T Service Integration – Creating a self‑contained EMEA I&T function while ensuring seamless user experience of services across EMEA and North America business units.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the EMEA I&T integration programme.
  • Establish programme governance, reporting and executive stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive organisational change and adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, financial and operational standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison between EMEA and North American I&T leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate programme risks while ensuring delivery against strategic objectives.
  • Track benefits and realise programme outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
  • Reporting into the I&T Transformation & Performance Director with accountability for the integration programme.
  • Accountability for delivery, budget, service, risk and value of the programme.
  • Manage successful relationships between the Programme and I&T functions in both EMEA and North America.
  • Interface with CIO, CFO, key business leaders, delivery teams and ITLTs in North America and EMEA.
  • Ensure business objectives are understood and realised through programme deployment.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within the Division to become a trusted partner.
  • Create a learning culture for the I&T team and the business to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Motivate and lead the direct and matrix team to deliver an excellent I&T outcome.
About You

Proven experience in leading large-scale I&T organisations and divisional or business leadership engagement at a strategic level.

Strong understanding of and experience with multibillion-dollar company integrations.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at the executive level.

Proven track record in leading large-scale I&T integration or transformation programme ($100m scale).

Strong background in I&T governance compliance (SOX) and organisational optimisation.

Experience in manufacturing packaging or related industries preferred.

Programme leadership within a merger environment; understanding of business practices and risks; understanding of systems, technology, procedures, tools and methods; security practices and procedures.

Exceptional programme management and leadership skills, strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Expertise in I&T service management integration and rationalisation; ability to operate in complex multinational environments.

Strategic thinker with operational execution capability; resilient, adaptable and culturally sensitive.
