About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team based at Stallingborough (UK) Pigment Plant and is offered on a permanent basis working a 9 day fortnight, 38 hour average week.

The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician is responsible for supporting the plants upkeep and maintenance. Main duties include :

  • Maintenance and fault finding on Electrical, Instrumentation and Delta V DCS systems – Such as;
  • Maintained knowledge and expertise in instrumentation process variables, such as Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, Density, pH, conductivity, turbidity and Analysis.
  • MCC cubicles and Motor manager configuration.
  • Overhaul and testing of various control valves, actuators, regulators and positioners, such as metso
  • Proof testing of ESD systems
  • Configure, calibrate and troubleshoot with SMART instruments using Beamex, TREX and HART communicator.
  • Fixed Plant inspections and maintenance
  • Complete work orders and appropriate reporting to a high standard to ensure accurate and detailed information is entered into Tronox’s Systems
  • Statutory testing and inspections including calibration data entry
  • Installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control, instrument and electrical equipment in accordance with standards.
  • Utilising SAP to obtain parts and complete documentation / reports as required.
  • Participation in team projects and sharing continuous improvement ideas that may enhance maintenance, safety, process and cost reduction.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workmanship.
About You
  • Externally accredited qualifications at Engineering Craft / Technician level, ; NVQ3 Modern Apprenticeship / C&G Apprenticeship / ONC / HNC Electrical / Instrument Engineering
  • Capable of reading and working to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Ideally should have some chemical or continuous process appreciation or experience
  • Experience of working with SAP or similar maintenance workflow process
  • Computer literate and be able to work with Microsoft Office etc
  • Hazardous area certification (desirable)
  • Good Communication skills;
  • Good Problem-solving skills;
  • Good Team-Working skills
