Job Title: Hygiene Coordinator
Location: Newport, North Humberside
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday, 06:00am - 14:00pm

A major European horticultural supplier supporting some of the UK's biggest retail brands is seeking a proactive Hygiene Coordinator to maintain exceptional hygiene, safety, and compliance standards across a busy, fast-paced operation. This is a key role within a high-volume, quality-driven environment where cleanliness and compliance are essential for operational success.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As the Hygiene Coordinator, you will take ownership of site-wide hygiene standards, ensuring the facility always meets internal, customer, and regulatory expectations. Your role will include:

  • Managing daily and weekly hygiene schedules across production and non-production areas.
  • Overseeing cleaning teams and ensuring all tasks follow set SOPs and compliance frameworks.
  • Supporting internal and external audits with accurate documentation, records, and corrective actions.
  • Leading the safe use, handling, and storage of chemicals, including COSHH compliance.
  • Training and guiding staff to maintain a culture of cleanliness, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring hygiene equipment and materials are maintained, used correctly, and replenished as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven background in hygiene coordination, hygiene management, or similar supervisory roles. (preferably from food-based or hygiene critical industries)
  • Experience within food production, pharmaceuticals, horticulture, or other environments requiring strict hygiene controls.
  • Strong knowledge of audit preparation, hygiene compliance, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Confident in leading teams, enforcing standards, and improving site hygiene practices.
