Qualifications

  • A UK Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or a cognate discipline.
  • Experience of working in a design capacity within a UK-based consultancy.
  • Demonstrable experience of wastewater modelling and proficiency in InfoWorks ICM.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to a variety of design projects at all stages of the process.
  • Producing hydraulic models and surveys.
  • Using software systems to prepare models, reports, and technical documents.

Job Title: Hydraulic Modeller

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, a highly-regarded, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy known for lending their expertise to diverse projects across the Engineering and Environmental landscapes. They are currently looking for a passionate, skilled Hydraulic Modeller who is willing to take on projects across a variety of sectors, based near the beautiful, family-friendly city of Sheffield.

Responsibilities
  • Contributing to a variety of design projects at all stages of the process
  • Producing hydraulic models and surveys
  • Using a variety of software systems to prepare models, reports, and other technical documents
  • Regularly liaising with clients and other stakeholders
  • Acting as a trusted representative of the company
  • Adhering to industry standards, regulations, and the appropriate health and safety requirements at all times
Required skills and experience
  • A UK Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or a cognate discipline
  • Experience of working in a design capacity within a UK-based consultancy (or Local Authority) setting
  • Demonstrable experience of wastewater modellingProficient in the use of InfoWorks ICM (1D and 2D), and other relevant software packages
Desirable skills and experience
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
  • Actively working to attain Chartered Status
  • Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
  • Knowledge of a range of other software systems used within the flood risk, drainage, and hydrology sectors
