Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is seeking a Learning and People Officer in Canterbury to coordinate learning initiatives and provide first-line support on routine employee relations matters. The role involves delivering training sessions and supporting managers across a charity with a Kent-wide retail presence.

You will work with the Learning and Development Manager and People team to ensure smooth people processes, maintain records and assist with development programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training, workshops or learning sessions.
• Previous HR or people advisory experience.
• Knowledge of employee relations processes.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
• Good judgement and confidence when escalating complex issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Experience handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging face-to-face, virtual and blended learning sessions.
• Facilitate induction programmes and development workshops.
• Create and update learning materials, guides and resources.
• Coordinate learning activities, attendance records and communications.
• Support leadership and management development programmes.
• Provide advice on routine people matters and HR processes.
• Manage straightforward employee relations cases.
• Prepare correspondence, documentation and meeting records.
• Support formal HR cases through administration and coordination.
• Maintain accurate learning and employee relations records.
• Build effective relationships with managers and colleagues.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.
