We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join an outstanding independent school in Woodside Park. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about making learning accessible and meaningful for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and moderate Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

About the Role
  • Teach engaging KS3 Humanities lessons adapted to the needs of learners with MLD and moderate ASD.
  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
  • Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports communication, independence, and confidence.
  • Work closely with the SEND team, therapists, and support staff to ensure personalised learning pathways.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with EHCP targets and school policy.
About You
  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with experience in Humanities and/or SEND.
  • Strong understanding of strategies for supporting students with MLD and ASD, including visual supports, routine building, sensory awareness, and communication approaches.
  • Patient, empathetic, and committed to helping every learner succeed at their own pace.
  • Able to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour-support skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
