A recruitment agency for educational roles is seeking tutors for English and Maths in Huddersfield. Tutors will provide 1:1 tuition for a POST-16 student working at GCSE level, focusing on both subjects while being aware of the student’s SEN needs. No formal teaching qualification is necessary; however, prior experience in education is desired. The role offers flexibility in hours and locations, primarily taking place within the student’s home with the presence of a guardian. Pay ranges from GBP20 to GBP30 per hour.

At Prospero, we work with local authorities to arrange 1:1 tuition for students accessing alternative provision.
Location: HD6, within the students home.
Start Date: ASAP.
End Date: Ongoing
Hours: 15 hours per week
Pay: GBP20 - GBP30 per hour.
The Role: English and Maths tuition for a POST-16 student working at GCSE Level. Expected delivery of knowledge: KS2 - KS3. Students SEN status is ADHD and ASD. Experience within this area is desired.
Our tuitions can be held in a number of places:
At all of the above locations, there will always be an appropriate adult present for your tuition sessions. This will be the students parent, carer, or guardian, meaning you'll never be left alone with a student.
Our tuitions take place within school hours, 9am-4pm, and our clients are very flexible on timings. When a role becomes available, well come to you as the tutor to set timings for when you'd like to take on the hours.
With our tuition roles, you do not need to be a qualified teacher. We usually ask that you have some form of higher education.
We'd also expect candidates to have some prior experience within education; at least 4 months working in a school or educational setting. This could be as a teacher, teaching assistant, or in a pastoral or support role.
