Astute’s Nuclear Team are exclusively partnered with an industry leader in industrial services solutions and hazardous waste management across the UK to recruit a HSEQ Systems Advisor to join their team in Rugby or Wolverhampton.

In this role, you will help drive commitment to excellence in health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ). The HSEQ Systems Advisor role offers a salary of up to £35,000 per year, along with a range of additional benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Reporting to the HSEQ Systems Manager you will:
  • Carry out internal and supplier audits in line with management system standards and IMS procedures.
  • Support and lead incident investigations and management reviews.
  • Maintain and develop cloud-based EHS platforms (EcoOnline EHS, Sypol, Effective).
  • Assist with external audits and certification processes.
  • Review and update policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support operational teams in preparing risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, and HSEQ campaigns.
  • Provide accurate HSEQ data for reporting and compliance.
  • Promote best practice and embed a strong safety culture across all sites.
Professional qualifications
  • Experience in an analytical role within an industrial sector (hazardous waste sector knowledge is highly desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel to sites across England and Scotland.
  • Level 3 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety is desirable.
