Mondelez International are looking for a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental specialist based at our famous plant in Sheffield.

The position of the Health and Safety Specialist oversees the implementation of Company Environmental and Safety Management Systems, as well as the approach for how the Company's Management systems will be executed within the Sheffield manufacturing facility.

How you will contribute
  • Have responsibility for coordinating Health & Safety programs and processes.
  • Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non‑conformances.
  • Provide Health & Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities.
  • Follow up on non‑conformances and develop the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis.
  • Understand relevant technical requirements in HSE and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Company policies.
  • Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow‑up actions implemented to minimize, or eliminate, accidents or asset losses that might cause harm to employees, contractors, visitors, and the environment.
  • Facilitate the implementation of corrective and preventative actions where required for HSE.
  • Ensure the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental/community regulations.
What you will bring
  • Strong experience within HSE in FMCG, consumer goods, or wider manufacturing industry.
  • NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to research and analyse data effectively.
  • Understanding and knowledge of regulatory reports and compliances, including ISO standards experience.
  • Knowledge of HSE systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with risk assessment writing.
  • Well‑organised, detail‑oriented, and able to multi‑task.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines.
  • Strong prioritisation skills.
