Job description

HRIS Manager – Permanent – Starting salary £39,863 per annum – 37 hours per week – Hybrid role across Marlwood School and Worle Community School.

Are you passionate about people, data, and digital transformation? Do you thrive on building something from the ground up and shaping systems that will make a real difference? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

About the role

We are seeking an HRIS Manager to lead the implementation of our first HR Information System (HRIS) and take ownership of its ongoing management and optimisation. This is a unique opportunity to modernise how we manage HR data, processes, and systems across a growing Multi Academy Trust – and beyond.

You will work closely with our HR along with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure our HR Information Systems meets the needs of our growing organisation. Beyond implementation, you will be the go-to expert for system improvements, reporting, and data governance, ensuring our processes are efficient, compliant, and user-friendly.

Excitingly, you will also work across both trusts (which will use the same HRIS) to align systems, processes, and data, supporting future integration and merger initiatives. This is a chance to influence HR practices at scale, supporting multiple academies and helping shape the future of our organisation.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional with a passion for improving HR processes and driving digital transformation. With strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you ensure data quality while also delivering clear insights through reports and dashboards.

What you’ll bring
  • Proven experience managing or implementing HRIS / HR systems, including data migration and configuration.
  • Ability to design and optimise HR workflows, supporting compliance and workforce planning.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, ideally within education or multi-site settings.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, mergers, or integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills, translating technical detail for non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, Excel, and reporting tools, with knowledge of GDPR and safeguarding.
  • Collaborative, resilient, and adaptable, able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
  • Experience with statutory HR reporting (e.g., Workforce Census, Gender Pay Gap).
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and integrated HR / payroll platforms.

  • Values and vision that are lived not laminated
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions
