Job summary

A leading educational staffing agency is seeking a dedicated HR Officer for a temporary position in Croydon. This role involves managing recruitment processes, supporting the HR manager, and being the first point of contact for HR advice. The successful candidate will have experience in HR, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Pay rates range from £140-£160 per day. An enhanced DBS check will be required for the position.

  • Managing recruitment inbox and responding to queries.

  • Assisting with research and data collection for HR project work.

Location: Croydon

Temp day rate of £140 - £160

A Mainstream Secondary School in Croydon are looking for a HR Officer for a temporary, full-time position. The successful candidate will assist with the internal recruitment of staff and will also work alongside the HR manager in providing support across all aspects of people and change management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment - managing the recruitment inbox, responding to queries from agencies and candidates where possible and passing on applications to hiring managers.
  • Supporting Head Office recruitment campaigns - writing / updating JDs and adverts, placing advertisements, initial shortlisting, inviting candidates to interview etc.
  • Note taking at meetings
  • First point of contact for HR advice from Head Office managers and employees, and liaising with school-based HR Administrators to resolve queries.
  • Supporting schools with return to work and sickness review meetings.
  • Support the Business Partners and Head of HR in project work requiring research and data collection.
Person specification
  • HR Officer or HR Advisor experience
  • Highly organised, professional, approachable and flexible
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
