Job summary

A leading Defence & Security firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an HR Business Partner for a 12-month contract role. This position requires hybrid working, with at least three days on-site per week. Key responsibilities include providing HR support, managing employee relations, and supporting recruitment processes. Job description

Our client BAE Systems, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking an HR Business Partner on a contract basis to join their team in Glascoed. This role will be within the Land Business Unit and is expected to have hybrid working arrangements, requiring a minimum of three days on‑site per week. The contract duration is 12 months, and the role falls inside IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive HR support and guidance to the business unit
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement effective HR strategies
  • Manage employee relations and resolve complex HR issues
  • Work on HR projects to drive continuous improvement within the business
  • Advise on HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance
  • Support staffing processes including recruitment and onboarding
  • Contribute to workforce planning and change management initiatives
  • Liaise effectively with stakeholders to maintain a positive workplace environment
Job Requirements
  • Experience in a HR Business Partner role or as a senior HR advisor
  • CIPD qualification preferred (levels 5-7, level 7 ideal) or equivalent HR qualification
  • Strong experience in employee relations and HR project management
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing or engineering sector would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance within the Defence & Security sector
  • BPSS and SC clearance, along with ITAR compliance
