Human Resources & Social Value Coordinator

Location: Hayes (office based) Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 Hours: Full time, permanent Department: Human Resources Fantastic opportunity to combine HR with a meaningful focus on Social Value!

We’re recruiting on behalf of a lovely client based in Hayes, who are seeking a capable and values-driven HR Coordinator to join their team. This is a varied and fulfilling role, ideal for someone looking to use their HR skills while also taking the lead on social and environmental value activities. If you’re CIPD-qualified and passionate about making a difference – both within the business and in the wider community – we’d love to hear from you.

About the role:

Working closely with the wider HR and leadership teams, you’ll provide high-quality support across the full HR lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to payroll and employee engagement. You’ll also have real ownership of the organisation’s Social Value agenda, coordinating volunteering initiatives, building relationships with local community groups, and contributing to key tenders and reports.

Day-to-day duties will include:
  • Coordinating recruitment processes, onboarding, and inductions
  • Supporting payroll with accurate starter/leaver/contractual change data
  • Keeping HR records up to date and GDPR-compliant
  • Monitoring and prompting probation reviews and appraisals
  • Leading the delivery of social value activities and reporting on progress
  • Building links with charities, schools, and community networks
  • Contributing to tenders, impact reports, and employee engagement
  • Creating case studies and content in partnership with marketing
What we’re looking for:
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or studying towards)
  • Solid HR coordination or officer-level experience
  • Confident communicator and stakeholder engager
  • Passion for social value, CSR, or sustainability work
  • Experience using HR systems and Excel
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-driven
  • Tender writing or impact reporting experience
  • Environmental or sustainability reporting knowledgeExperience within construction, engineering, or similar regulated fields
