Your role at BRE

As a Housing Research Consultant within our expanding Housing Data and Insights team, you will contribute to national housing research and data analysis projects that inform housing, energy and health policy across the UK. Working alongside data analysts and data scientists, you’ll support the delivery of insights that help improve housing quality and reduce fuel poverty.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Analyse data from national housing surveys, particularly the English Housing Survey (EHS).
  • Develop, maintain and validate housing and energy models that inform national and local policy.
  • Undertake research and numerical modelling on energy efficiency, fuel poverty, housing condition and carbon emissions.
  • Produce clear and accurate research reports, visualisations and presentations for clients.
  • Apply innovative data science methods and emerging technologies to enhance data insight and efficiency.
  • Support the delivery of BRE’s data strategy through improved processes and analytical accuracy.
  • Contribute to project delivery, ensuring outputs meet agreed timescales and quality standards.

Work Location Options

Flexi‑Hybrid – This role is primarily home‑based, with travel to our head office in Watford for planned meetings once a week.
