Housing Officer - Social Housing
Location: Glasgow
Contract: 3-6 Months Temporary (Strong Potential to Go Permanent)
Start Date: 5th January
Working Pattern: Hybrid (Home Working & Estate Visits)

Role Overview

As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a high-quality neighbourhood management service across a designated patch. You will work closely with residents to support tenancy sustainment, manage tenancy-related issues, and help maintain safe, well-managed communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a patch of general needs properties
  • Carry out tenancy sign-ups, home visits, and tenancy reviews
  • Manage low to medium-level ASB cases, safeguarding concerns, and tenancy breaches
  • Support residents with tenancy sustainment and early-intervention approaches
  • Work collaboratively with contractors, partner agencies, and internal teams
  • Conduct estate inspections and ensure communal areas are well maintained
  • Prepare reports and documentation and attend meetings as required
About You
  • Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, or similar (minimum 12-18 months)
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management, relevant housing legislation, and best practice (Scottish housing context preferred)
  • Confident working independently and managing a diverse workload
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with vulnerable tenants and external support agencies
  • Available to start on 5th January with no notice restrictions
