Neway International has a job opportunity for a Housing Advice & Homeless Prevention Officer to join our client based with Hillingdon Council.

Location: Civic Centre, London Borough of Hillingdon

Contract: 6 October 2025 – 6 April 2026

Hours: 36 per week | Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00

Rate: £22.98 PAYE / £30.00 Umbrella

About the Role

This SO2-level position focuses on supporting British Citizens arriving from overseas territories—including The Chagos Islands—as part of government-backed resettlement schemes. You’ll work closely with the resettlement support team at the Civic Centre, providing tailored housing advice and implementing prevention strategies to reduce homelessness risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality housing advice and homelessness prevention services
  • Support resettlement efforts for individuals arriving under government schemes
  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to secure sustainable housing solutions
  • Maintain accurate casework records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Contribute to the borough’s strategic housing objectives during a one-off workload peak
