Job summary

A community organization is hiring a Housekeeper in Bootle to maintain communal areas and ensure cleaning supplies are replenished for residents. Responsibilities include cleaning and reporting issues with electrical equipment. Candidates should have experience in a cleaning role, preferably in health and social care. The successful applicant will also prepare welcome packs for new residents and contribute to staff meetings. Flexible hours available at £12.60 per hour.

Role:

Hours:

16 Hours p/w. Can be flexible

Job purpose:

To provide all aspects of cleaning and maintenance of residents’ communal areas including toilet facilities.

To provide cleaning and replenish cleaning supplies to residents’ accommodation.

To ensure all living accommodation is maintained and to report any faulty electrical appliances or damage to property as soon as possible.

To provide refreshments for meetings and welcome pack of food and toiletries for new residents.

Job description:
Key areas of responsibility:
  • Maintain all household supplies.
  • Ensure residents have adequate cleaning supplies.
  • Maintain all communal areas, residents’ lounge and toilet facilities in a clean and tidy state.
  • Report any faulty electrical equipment.
  • Carry out weekly room checks with Support staff and report any damage to rooms and any items that appear to be missing.
  • Ensure rooms are emptied, cleaned and new bedding provided for incoming residents, including flats when required.
  • Provide ‘welcome’ packs of food and toiletries for new residents.
  • Ensure list of cleaning materials are given to admin staff to order what is needed on a weekly basis.
  • To regularly check entrances and fire exits are secure and kept clear.
  • Provide refreshments for meetings, events etc.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings.
  • Prepare for and attend regular supervision sessions and undertake any training opportunities.
  • Undertake other duties that may arise or as may be delegated from time to time required for this post.
  • To work with Support staff to ensure an Inventory is completed when residents move in / move out.
Qualifications Required:
  • Experience of cleaning role desirable.
  • Experience in a health and social care setting desirable.
Other Details:

Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS check, the expense to be met by the employer.
