Job summary

An esteemed healthcare organization in Cardiff is seeking a Network Support Officer to join their Network Team. This full-time, fixed-term position focuses on supporting the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration application and enhancing digital wireless improvements. The successful candidate will handle IT network issues, especially related to wireless systems. Essential qualifications include knowledge of Cisco systems, network troubleshooting experience, and a degree or equivalent experience. Salary ranges from £31,516 to £38,364 per annum.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of scalable physical infrastructure design for wireless, fibre and copper solutions.
• Knowledge of the latest copper and wireless networking standards.
• Sufficient exposure to Cisco Systems hardware, software and services.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of ePMA application and Digital Wireless Improvements.
• Provide proactive and reactive support for IT network issues across the Health Board.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the wireless network.

Skills

Knowledge of scalable physical infrastructure design for wireless, fibre and copper solutions

Knowledge of the latest copper and wireless networking standards

Knowledge of wireless technologies, IP and associated protocols

Experience with Cisco WLCs and management tools

Knowledge of Cisco Wireless standards
