We are currently seeking a skilled Variable Hours Garden Design / Horticulture Tutor who will enable us to develop our curriculum by delivering engaging learning sessions.
We are particularly interested in applications from tutors who can is able to teach both mainstream and SEND provision.
Hours are variable and cover daytimes, evenings and weekends. Variable Hours Tutors work closely with Programme Managers in the designing, planning and delivering of courses which stretch and challenge our learners, as well as preparing a variety of learning materials, providing guidance to learners on progression options, attending termly meetings and completing course administration.
You will be able to deliver engaging learning sessions for a range of learner groups and ability levels, and ensuring high levels of learner satisfaction with the College and its services. You will also advise line manager of ideas for developing and promoting sessions / courses to increase learner numbers and attract new learner groups.
Where applicable, you will be able undertake scheduled teaching on qualification provision (on College site and in outreach centres), assessment, educational guidance, preparation of learning materials and assignments, arrangements for examinations, feedback and marking of students’ work, invigilating and marking of examinations, and administration of own courses.
You will have English and Maths minimum Level 2 qualifications, and a qualification or industry experience in your specialist area.
