Job description

Whyburn Medical Practice are looking to recruit a full-time Home Visiting Paramedic to join their team. This is a new role that is essential in providing the best quality patient care to patients based in their own home, with on-the-day urgent/acute appointments. With a list of over 12,000 patients, this practice is one of the largest in Nottinghamshire and offers a wide range of primary care services including a home visiting service. The post holder will be an experienced Paramedic who will support and work collaboratively with the Practice Team to carry out home visits that operate during the working day. The successful applicant will have the experience, knowledge and skills to provide holistic care for individuals including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management. PICS are supporting our team of Paramedics to develop their skills and knowledge in line with Health Education England’s First Contact Practitioners & Advanced Practitioners in Primary Care (Paramedic): A Roadmap to Practice. Reporting clinically to the Lead GP, the postholder will be a valued member of the team and lead the home visiting function to support the work pressures that are evident within GP Practices.

Responsibilities
  • Work as an autonomous and accountable paramedic
  • Active and relevant professional registration with HCPC
  • Evidence of relevant CPD
  • Extensive experience as a Paramedic
