Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults roadside, repair on-site, and support members across the UK. You’ll be based from home with a RAC van, tools, and full uniform, responding to breakdown calls with professionalism.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience and 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to RAC members.
• Start and end calls from home with a RAC van and tools provided.
