Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish from home, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime to boost earnings.

Expect NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 2+ years’ experience) or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points. You’ll receive a RAC van, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit to start.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and reassuring member service.
• Work from your RAC van with full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit provided.
