Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles on the roadside. You’ll start and finish from home, covering trusted local areas with a 40-hour week and optional overtime. You will handle emergency breakdowns, using diagnostic tools to quickly get members back on the road.

Qualified with Level 2 maintenance and a full UK driving licence, you’ll combine technical skill with outstanding member service in a fast-paced, nationwide role.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end day from home, with 40-hour weeks and optional overtime.
• Work within the Patrol division to get members back on the road quickly.
