Job Summary

Allied Health Professional (Occupational Therapist or Speech & Language Therapist)

Location: Home Based; currently, most work can be carried out from home.

Career Level: B (NHS Band 6 – 7) options available.

Working pattern: Full time 37.5 hours a week. Part‑time considered for a minimum of 3 days / 22.5 hours a week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic services for children and/or adults within Neurodevelopmental Services, primarily delivered online with occasional face‑to‑face assessments in the Midlands.
  • Travel to Northampton and other community locations as required for assessments, team meetings and supervision.
  • Support the development and delivery of community‑based services including private therapy clinic, expert witness service, diagnostic assessment clinics (ASD) and complex treatment service for military veterans.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, take ownership of own workload and demonstrate excellent time‑management and organisation skills.
  • Advocate for patients, promote early intervention and use evidence‑based practice.
Person Specification

Essential qualifications:

  • HCPC Registration.

Essential experience:

  • Experience working with service users with ASD or ADHD.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ASD assessment and training in diagnostic tools such as ADOS‑2 and DIVA‑5.
  • Experience working with a varied child and adult population with a range of mental health needs.
