Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team across our UK locations. You will help prep ingredients, maintain cleanliness, and assist senior chefs to deliver high-quality dishes efficiently.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, demonstrate good dexterity and a positive attitude, and be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays while upholding safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication with colleagues and chefs.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Basic food preparation and hygiene awareness.
• Strong teamwork and positive service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for service.
• Check stock quality and expiry dates; store items correctly.
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene of appliances and surfaces.
• Assist with basic food preparation as directed by senior chefs.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
• Report weaknesses or breaches in information systems when observed.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene responsibilities.
