Job Title : Hod Carrier / Bricklayer's Labourer / Helper

Location : Wolverhampton- New build housing

Role Overview

As a Hod Carrier / Bricklayer's Labourer, you will work closely with the bricklaying team to assist with the day-to-day operations on a busy housing site. Your role will be key to ensuring materials are transported efficiently, the site is kept safe, and the bricklayers are supported in their tasks to keep the project on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport bricks, mortar, and other materials to and from the work areas.
• Assist with preparing and cleaning the work area.
• Support bricklayers in setting up scaffolding, mixing mortar, and other construction tasks.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
• Keep the site tidy and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and storing materials safely on‑site.
• Carry out general labouring tasks as directed by the site manager or foreman.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working on a construction site (preferably as a Hod Carrier or Labourer).
• Good understanding of building materials and construction processes.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from others.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy loads.
• A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• A valid CSCS card
• Full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be required (we can provide this if necessary).
• A willingness to learn and develop skills in bricklaying or other construction trades is an advantage.
