History Teacher - Swindon Secondary Schools

Key Information

• Start dates: January 2026
• Full-time and part-time roles available
• Working hours: 8.30am-3.30pm, weekdays only
• Pay between 150- 300 per day, depending on experience and role
• Opportunities for short-term, long-term, or potential permanent contracts

We are looking for History Teachers who:

• Have a passion for education and History, and can make the subject engaging for students aged 11-18
• Build positive relationships with students and colleagues
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and clear communication skills
• Show enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine love for teaching
• Can inspire curiosity and critical thinking through innovative and inclusive lessons

Essential Requirements

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have recent experience teaching History at secondary level
• Hold an enhanced DBS Disclosure and provide overseas police clearances (if applicable)
• Provide professional reference checks (completed on your behalf)
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Hold the legal right to work in the UK
