Overview

Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Ellesmere Port to recruit a committed and knowledgeable History Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate historian to inspire students and bring the past to life through engaging lessons.

This role is a temporary 4 month contract that is covering a long-term absence. The position is full time working from 8:30am to 3:30pm with occasional meetings. This local school has a great reputation amongst the local community, the team are supportive with a pro‑active leadership team.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning and delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress
  • Encouraging critical thinking, debate, and historical enquiry
  • Maintaining strong classroom management and positive relationships
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate
Qualifications
  • Proof of Right to Work – e.g., Passport or Birth Certificate
  • A CV that covers 10 years of education or employment
  • A fully enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to process one with us (we will refund the cost of the DBS)
