Jarvie Plant Group in Edinburgh invites applications for an ambitious Hire Controller on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave at our Newbridge Depot.

You will coordinate hire processes, support customers, and collaborate with workshop, transport and depot teams to maximise fleet utilisation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hire operations, logistics, or customer service.
• Strong organisational skills and multi-tasking ability.
• Confident verbal and written communication with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for hire enquiries and provide professional support.
• Coordinate the full hire process from quotation to delivery and off-hires.
• Maintain accurate hire records and documentation in systems.
• Collaborate with workshop, transport and depot teams to maximise fleet utilisation.
• Plan and communicate equipment movements to ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
