A leading healthcare provider in Nottingham is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support scientific and medical staff. The post holder will provide support to the scientific and medical staff of the department. The role involves laboratory-based work, sample handling and clerical tasks, with rotation through routine areas of Cellular Pathology.

Working hours are Monday to Friday (including Bank Holidays) 7.00 a.m. to 6.45 p.m. and Saturday 08:00 to 16:15. The post holder will be expected to work 5 days a week, covering a Monday to Saturday service on a rotational basis. The department provides a rota 3 months in advance to support work/life balance. You will be required to work in the Histopathology laboratories on both QMC and City Hospital NUH Campuses. The role involves rotation within all routine areas of Cellular Pathology; prior knowledge is advantageous. The duties may be varied to respond to changing circumstances and the job description is a guide, not a contract.
