Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Nottingham

Pay Rate: £95 – £130 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA who can deliver high-quality support, lead learning activities, and contribute to pupils’ academic and personal development.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead small-group interventions and deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support teaching staff in creating engaging, inclusive, and differentiated learning activities.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils with varying needs to help raise attainment and confidence.
  • Assist with lesson planning, marking, and behaviour management where required.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and SEN teams to ensure the best outcomes for all learners.
What You’ll Bring
  • HLTA status or relevant Level 4 qualification.
  • Previous experience supporting teaching and learning within a school setting.
  • Confidence in leading lessons and managing classroom routines.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
